Atlanta Falcons DFS Spin
Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) is questionable for Week 4 against the Jaguars. Patterson, who has yet to play this season, was limited in practice this week ahead of the Falcons’ game against the Jaguars in London. Scott Bair of AtlantaFalcons.com said “there’s legitimate uncertainty surrounding his status against Jacksonville.” Even a little bit of playing time for Patterson — listed as an “offensive weapon” — could complicate things for Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.
Jacksonville Jaguars DFS Spin
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said he did not take over offensive play calling in Week 3 against the Texans. The Jacksonville offense, after another lousy first half against the Texans, came out firing in the second half, scoring on three of their first four possessions. That sparked speculation that Pederson had taken play calling duties away from offensive coordinator Press Taylor. “I communicated with Press and the offensive staff, you know, no more or less than I usually do,” Pederson said. “I think grabbing their attention at halftime and just letting them know that the first 30 minutes was unacceptable. It’s not up to what our standards are and our expectations, including my expectations for this football team.” If the Jaguars offense continues to struggle — they’re 29th in EPA per play — look for Pederson to get more involved with the direction of the unit.

Falcons vs. Jaguars Prediction:
Take Atlanta. Desmond Ridder is a liability under center for the Falcons, but only if Atlanta can’t run the ball like last Sunday in Detroit. When the Falcons have their rushing attack firing on all cylinders, Ridder can merely manage the game. Let’s not overlook the fact that Atlanta’s defense has been stout to start the season. They’re allowing just 5.6 yards per pass attempt and while their rushing yards allowed per attempt is a tad high at 4.2, they aren’t being gauged on the ground.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, has issues offensively. They’re 16th in yards per game, 18th in yards per play, 24th in yards per rush and 19th in yards per attempt. This line reflects how much talent the Jaguars have on their roster, not how they’ve actually played.
