Atlanta Falcons DFS Spin

Matt Ryan completed 31-of-42 passes for 338 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons’ 23-22, Week 7 loss to the Lions. Ryan did most of the heavy lifting to get the Falcons up and down the field, but it was Todd Gurley who capitalized with a pair of inside-the-10 touchdown runs. Ryan’s lone score was a short hookup with Calvin Ridley, and the duo also connected for a two-point conversion later in the day. Ryan has back-to-back 300-yard games and remains one of the best pure passers. He just does nothing as a runner, capping his upside. Ryan will be a back-end QB1 next week at Carolina.

Carolina Panthers DFS Spin

Panthers coach Matt Rhule is “hopeful” Christian McCaffrey (ankle) will be ready for Thursday’s game against the Falcons. Unsurprisingly, Rhule said how McCaffrey’s ankle responds to Tuesday’s practice on Wednesday will be key. “He looks like he’s moving around great. Just we’ll let the medical people and him determine how much he can do, or when he can play in a game. It won’t be a minute too early. We’ll be smart.” Most signs are pointing toward a McCaffrey return — this has been the rumored return date for several weeks — but Rhule can be believed when he says the team won’t force it. Despite overachieving, this is a reset year for the Panthers. They will not risk CMC’s future health. We should know McCaffrey’s status by Wednesday. He will not be a game-time decision.

Falcons vs. Panthers Betting Prediction

The under is 11-3-1 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams and is 12-3-2 in the last 17 meetings at Bank of America Stadium. The under is also 4-0 in the Falcons’ last four games played on Thursday, is 5-1 in their last six games played in the month of October and is 65-29-4 in their last 98 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest. On the other side, the under is 4-1 in the Panthers’ last five games overall and is 4-1 in their last five games coming off an ATS win.
