Washington activated Taylor Heinicke from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Washington also activated LB David Mayo and TE Temarrick Hemingway from the COVID list. Garrett Gilbert was serviceable in his emergency spot-start, completing 20-of-31 passes for 194 yards and 6.2 YPA Tuesday night, and will return to a backup role until Kyle Allen is cleared.
Dallas Cowboys DFS Spin
Dak Prescott is the QB27 in fantasy points per game over the past five weeks. He’s averaged a meager 12.95 fantasy points per game since Week 11, less than Zach Wilson and Jared Goff, among others. The Cowboys’ offensive struggles aren’t entirely on Dak’s shoulders, but his play has certainly fallen off over the past month. His 6.1 yards per attempt over that stretch ranks 20th among quarterbacks and is well short of his 8.2 yards per attempt during the season’s first ten weeks. He’s managed multiple touchdown passes in just one of his past five outings. The floundering Dallas offense has been bailed out time and again by the team’s elite defense. That doesn’t matter to fantasy managers. Dak drafters probably won’t find a better waiver wire option in Week 16, when Dallas plays the Football Team.
Football Team vs. Cowboys Betting Prediction
The Football Team has covered in 10 of its last 14 games in Dallas, is 4-1-1 against the spread in its last six games overall and is 5-2 against the spread in its last 29 games coming off a loss. The underdog is also 29-14 at the betting window in the last 43 meetings between these two teams, while the Cowboys are just 3-7-1 against the spread in their last 11 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous contest.
