The second game of Thanksgiving will feature an exciting NFC East matchup between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. New York is the laughing stock of the NFL and enter Thursday with a 2-9 record. Dallas picked up a win last Sunday to move to 4-7 on the season. They are currently 3.5 point home favorites and this Giants vs. Cowboys matchup kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET.

New York Giants
Rock bottom doesn’t even begin to describe this Giants team this season. They’ve lost six straight games with the latest being 30-7 to Tampa Bay. Tommy Cutlets completed 21 of 31 pass attempts for 189 yards. Tyrone Tracy Jr. had 9 carries for 42 yards and lost a fumble. Devin Singletary ran in the only New York score early in the 4th quarter. Tommy DeVito is questionable but has been said to be a longshot to play tomorrow with an injury to his right forearm. He did not travel with the team but will meet them in Dallas. It sounds like he will wake up in the morning and throw and see how he is feeling. He is 3-4 as a starter. If he is unable to go Drew Lock will (most likely) take over under center. Lock has thrown 28 touchdowns to 23 interceptions in his career.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys had lost five straight games before picking up a 34-26 victory over division rival Washington. Cooper Rush completed 24 of 32 pass attempts for 247 yards and two touchdowns. Rico Dowdle had 86 yards on 19 rush attempts. CeeDee Lamb had 10 receptions for 67 yards. Micah Parsons went off for 8 tackles, including 2 sacks and 2 tackles for loss. The defense had two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Jake Ferguson has been ruled out as well as right guard Zack Martin. Cornerback Trevon Diggs is currently listed as questionable. He missed Sunday’s game with a groin injury and was listed as a DNP for Tuesday’s practice but managed to log a limited practice on Wednesday.

Giants vs. Cowboys Prediction #1:
It seems very up in the air as to who will be starting for the New York Football Giants on Thanksgiving Day. I have three picks here based on how the Giants quarterback situation plays out.
- Tommy DeVito starts: Take the Cowboys to cover the 3.5 points in this matchup. The Giants are finished. The tank is on. Joe Schoen is at Colorado practices every week to watch Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. They are desperately trying to get an injured Tommy DeVito out there instead of just allowing Drew Lock to sling it. Left tackle Andrew Thomas suffered a season ending injury in week 6. Now replacement left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor will miss Thursday’s game. Chris Hubbard will step in and attempt to slow down Micah Parsons and the Cowboys defense. Dallas has 3 interceptions in their last two games. Cooper Rush looked much better against the Commanders throwing 2 touchdowns and not turning the ball over. And the Cowboys should be able to move the ball on the ground against the worst rush defense in the NFL. Dallas also haven’t won at home this season and would want nothing more than to embarrass their division rival on national television on Thanksgiving day.
Giants vs. Cowboys Prediction #2:
- Drew Lock starts: If Drew Lock is the starting quarterback for the Giants, I like the over. He will have something to prove with how he was skipped over in favor of DeVito after Daniel Jones was benched. Malik Nabers is begging for the ball and I don’t see why Drew Lock doesn’t throw it to him 50 times. Tyrone Tracy Jr. has shown the ability to break off big plays on the ground when he is not fumbling the ball. The Giants defense has allowed 20+ points in each of their last 5 games and 26+ in 4 of their last 5. It doesn’t take much to get to that 37.5 number, especially with the kicking ability of Cowboys Brandon Aubrey.
Giants vs. Cowboys Prediction #3:
- Tim Boyle starts: This is obviously a very unlikely long shot and mostly a joke, but with how the Giants organization is making decisions these days, definitely not impossible that we see Tim Boyle trotting onto the field in Dallas. Boyle has a career 4 touchdown passes to 12 interceptions. You go ahead and take the Cowboys any way you can get them in this situation.
