Brandin Cooks Patriots Prop Odds
How many total receiving yards will new Patriot Brandin Cooks have in 2017?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under has been set at 900 for the number of receiving yards that Cooks will produce in the 2017 NFL regular season. The over/under for the number of touchdown passes that the former Saint will have for New England next season is also sitting at 6.5.
The Patriots acquired Cooks and a 2017 four-round pick back on March 10. The team parted with their 2017 first-round pick, as well as their 2017 third-round pick. Rumors started to circulate days prior that the Patriots had a deal in place with the Saints that would have sent cornerback Malcolm Butler to New Orleans in exchange for Cooks, but a deal couldn’t be reached. That’s when the teams settled on draft picks as compensation.
Cooks is coming off his second straight 1,000-yard season and gives New England yet another weapon to go along with Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell. The defending champion Patriots now have a vertical threat to go along with their spread-heavy offense.

The Patriots have also been one of the most active teams in free agency. Not only did they acquire Cooks, but they also traded for former Colts tight end Dwayne Allen to replace Martellus Bennett, who signed with the Packers, as well as added top corner Stephon Gilmore (Bills). The team also retained linebacker Dont’a Hightower, Alan Branch and Duron Harmon.
