Indianapolis Colts vs. Buffalo Bills 8/13/16 NFL Preseason Picks

Colts vs. Bills Preseason Pick

Are the Bills a good bet to cover the spread tonight versus the Colts at 7:00PM ET when both teams kick off their preseason schedule?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bills are 2.5-point home favorites tonight versus the Colts while the over/under is sitting at 36.5 points. Neither the side nor the total has moved off the originally numbers set by oddsmakers.

Bet Tonight’s NFL Preseason Action

The big story coming out of Colts camp is the fact that quarterback Andrew Luck has had an “uneven” training camp while trying to knock the rust off from an injury-plagued 2015 campaign. The Indianapolis Star observers that Luck has looked great at times, but has also made plenty of mistakes as well.

As for the Bills, the big news on Friday was that the team signed quarterback Tyrod Taylor to a new six-year, $92 million contract that came with a $27.5 million option for 2017. Taylor, who proved to be a bargain signing for the Bills in 2015, will make $9.5 million this season and that is the only guaranteed year of the deal. He’ll make $27.5 million in 2017 if he plays well enough to convince Buffalo he’s worth a long-term investment.

OUR PICK: If Luck doesn’t play then the quarterback duties for Indianapolis will fall upon Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris. Buffalo has a slightly better backup quarterback situation in EJ Manuel, who can often play well when the games are meaningless. Look for the Bills to handle the Colts tonight.
