Is the over the play for the Rams vs. Giants? NFL Predictions 11/3/17

Rams vs. Giants Total Pick

Can the Los Angeles Rams continue their strong offensive performances when they hit the road to face the New York Giants on Sunday at 1PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Los Angeles is favored on the road, as the Rams are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Giants. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 42 points. The Giants have won six of their last seven meetings with the Rams and the two are 3-1-1 with the over in their last five games. The public betting in this one has Los Angeles getting 75 percent of the wagers on the road. Sunday’s game takes place from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The contest will air live on FOX.

The Rams are coming off their bye week, but they defeated the Cardinals in London, 33-0, prior to that. Los Angeles is 5-2 this season and 5-2 with the over. The Rams have hit the over in all three road games. Los Angeles is rolling on offense, putting up 30.3 points and 378.9 yards per game this season. Jared Goff has thrown for 1,719 yards and nine touchdowns in his second year while Todd Gurley II has been the offensive leader with 627 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He also has 27 catches for 293 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, the Rams are allowing 19.7 points and 347.3 yards per contest. Mark Barron is leading the defense with 50 tackles, one sack and two interceptions.

The Giants are also coming off their bye week. New York suffered a 24-7 loss at home to Seattle prior to that. The Giants are just 1-6 this season and 4-3 with the under. New York has struggled to move the ball all season, averaging just 16 points and 311.9 yards per game. Odell Beckham Jr. has been lost for the season, taking a big piece of the offense away. Eli Manning has thrown for 1,600 yards and 10 touchdowns with five interceptions. Evan Engram, the rookie tight end, has emerged as the top receiver with 30 catches for 342 yards and three scores. Orleans Darkwa is the leading rusher with 274 yards and a score. Defensively, the Giants are giving up 22.3 points and 389.9 yards per game. Jason Pierre-Paul is leading the unit with 33 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Bet on Rams vs. Giants

The Rams have been steady with the over, especially on the road. Their offense is going to find ways to score, as their scheme has yet to be figured out by opponents. The Giants will likely fall behind big early, but then tack on some yards and points in garbage time to allow these two to put up a big total. Eli is still a gunslinger, so he is going to either get some late touchdowns or throw some pick 6’s.
