According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Falcons are now a 3.5-point home favorite versus the Chiefs after opening as a 4-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 49 and that’s where it currently sits.
The Chiefs are coming off a massive 30-27 victory over the Broncos on Sunday Night Football, rallying from an 8-point deficit in the final three minutes to force overtime. The victory lifted Kansas City’s record to 8-3, but the team is still just 5-6 at the betting window this season. The under is also 8-3 in the Chiefs’ 11 games this season, as the defense ranks eighth in points allowed, surrendering just 19.5 points per game.
The Falcons rebounded from a 24-15 loss to the Eagles in Philadelphia three weeks ago by blowing out the Cardinals 38-19 following their bye week. The win allowed Atlanta to hold onto first place in the NFC South, although Tampa Bay and New Orleans also won last week to stay within one and two wins, respectively, from the Falcons. Atlanta is 7-4 against the spread this season while the over is 9-2 in the Falcons’ 11 games.

OUR PREDICTION: The Falcons hung 38 points on a very good Arizona defense last week, scored 23 points in Denver earlier this season and 24 against Seattle as well. The point? Atlanta can score on anybody. Kansas City has a nasty pass rush, led by Justin Houston, but the Falcons’ offensive line has been underrated all season and Atlanta will benefit from Kansas City playing a full extra quarter last Sunday night in Denver, then being forced to travel this week. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
