Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills, 11/23/18 Predictions & Odds

Jaguars vs. Bills Total Prediction

Two teams that will be home come January will clash in Buffalo on Sunday when the Bills host the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. ET. Is the under a safe play for bettors even though the total is sitting under 40 points?

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Jaguars are 3-point favorites to beat the Bills. The total, meanwhile, sits at 37 points. As of this writing, 64% of the public betting tickets are on the Jaguars to cover the point spread.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars will not bench Blake Bortles for Week 12. When asked if Bortles was losing confidence, coach Doug Marrone said you would have to ask Bortles. Scintillating. Marrone has clearly lost all confidence in his quarterback. The Jaguars only let him attempt 18 passes in Sunday’s meltdown loss to the Steelers. Already benched once this season, Bortles will surely be benched twice, though the Jags’ campaign is in the gutter, perhaps lessening the urgency. It appears the Jags will finally move in a different direction this offseason.

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen (elbow) was listed as a full participant on Thursday. The Bills did not actually practice, but Allen has been a full participant all week. It would be a surprise if he is not ready to go on Sunday. Even so, he is not a fantasy option against the Jaguars.

NFL Betting Trends

Jacksonville

The under is 5-0 in the Jaguars’ last five games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in its previous game.

Buffalo

The over is 6-1 in the Bills’ last seven games played in November and 4-1 in their last five games coming off a win of more than 14 points.

Prediction

Unless Leonard Fournette is picking up big gains on the ground the Jaguars can’t move the ball offensively. The same thing could be said for the Bills and LeSean McCoy. The total is so low in this game it’s tempting to play the over and watch two bad teams go at it but both of these offenses are inept I just can’t pull the trigger. Plus, both defenses are stout so this thing could be a field-goal fest throughout.

NFL Week 12 Prediction: Jaguars/Bills under 37
