The Jets beat Dallas 27-24 in the season opener. The Jets trailed 24-10 in the fourth quarterback but rallied to score the final 17 points of the game. A blocked punt for a touchdown really turned the game around and the Jets forced a pair of turnovers in the final quarter as well. As an offense, New York had 360 total yards, but had just 45 net yards rushing. Quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns.
Jacksonville defeated Tennessee 16-14 in the season opener. The Jaguars took a 13-0 lead in the game and then held off the Titans in the final minutes. Jacksonville held Tennessee to just 292 yards of offense and running back Chris Johnson to 24 yards rushing. The Jaguars had 323 yards of offense in the win with Maurice Jones-Drew leading the team with 97 rushing yards and one touchdown.
In terms of Injuries, Jacksonville tight end Marcedes Lewis is questionable to play this Sunday because of a leg injury while defensive end Aaron Kampman is questionable with a knee injury. New York receiver Santonio Holmes is listed as probable to play despite a minor knee injury.
