New York Jets DFS Spin
New York running back Michael Carter missed last week’s game with a sprained ankle, but he’s officially listed as probable for Sunday’s tilt against the Bills. If Carter is limited in any way, rookie running back Zonovan Knight could receive a sizable workload. Knight has run the ball 29 times for 159 rushing yards and caught 8 passes for 62 yards in two games of action this season. The NC State alum has yet to score a touchdown, but that could change this weekend.
Jets rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson has emerged as a legitimate #1 target for New York. Last week Garrett Wilson posted 8 catches for 162 yards against the Vikings. For the season, Garrett Wilson has recorded at least 50 receiving yards in 7 of his 12 contests this year. Garrett Wilson and the rest of the Jets receivers have seen a significant bump in value since Mike White took over at QB and that trend may continue against Buffalo on Sunday.
Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
After a few shaky outings, Bills quarterback Josh Allen appears to have righted the ship. Allen threw for 223 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions in the Bills’ 24-10 win over the Patriots last Thursday as Buffalo took care of business and notched a crucial division win. For the season Josh Allen is third in the NFL in passing yards (3,406), tied for second in touchdown passes (25), and third in QBR (75.1). It’s worth noting that against the Jets on November 6th, Josh Allen threw for 205 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions, and ran for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Using Josh Allen in DFS will pose some risk as New York is 4th in the NFL in opponent yards per pass attempt, but Allen is talented enough to be worth the gamble.
For a sleeper at running back, consider Buffalo’s James Cook. Cook is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and 10.1 yards per catch on the season. He should be fresh as he’s only recorded 60 carries this year, but he’s seen a bigger workload in the last three games and could see between 10-15 touches against the Jets this weekend.
Jets vs. Bills Betting Trends
New York is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.
New York is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following an outright loss.
New York is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after gaining more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Buffalo is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games in Week 14.
Jets vs. Bills Prediction:
The Jets have already beaten the Bills this year. New York toppled Buffalo at home by a score of 20-17 on November 6th. The Jets won that game with Zach Wilson at quarterback. The offense appears to be significantly better with Mike White at the helm, and the defense is still one of the best in the NFL. The Jets’ defense ranks in the top six in the NFL in opponent points per play, opponent punts per offensive score, opponent yards per play, opponent average team passer rating, and sack percentage. I think the combination of Mike White at quarterback and New York’s stifling defense keeps this game close enough for the Jets to cover the number.
