New York Jets DFS Spin
Jets’ rookie running back Breece Hall has been making an impact in the early part of the season for New York. He leads the Jets in carries, and rushing yards, and is tied for the team lead in rushing touchdowns. But Hall has proven to be a capable receiver as well. He’s third on the team in catches, targets, and receiving yards. He might be a nice value play against a Packers defense that is 20th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game at 126.4.
If it’s a wide receiver you need, consider the Jets’ Corey Davis. The former first-round pick is leading the team in receiving yards and has made several big plays already this year, with 4 catches of 20+ yards. Davis is second in the NFL in yards per catch (17.6) among receivers with at least 15 catches. Green Bay’s defense may be more focused on stopping the run in this game which could lead to some big chunk plays in the passing game.
Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been spreading the ball around through the first five games of the season. The Packers have three wide receivers with at least 16 catches and 200 receiving yards in Randall Cobb, Romeo Doubs, and Allen Lazard. Of these three, I think Romeo Doubs is the most attractive DFS option as he is leading the team in targets and yards after the catch.
If the price is right, I’d also take a look at Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones. Jones is averaging 6.4 yards per carry, which is the second-highest mark in the league among players with at least 60 carries. Jones has also caught multiple passes in every game thus far, even recording a receiving touchdown in Week 2 against Chicago.
Jets vs. Packers Betting Trends
New York is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Green Bay is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 6.
Green Bay is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
The road team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings between New York and Green Bay.
The over is 13-6 in New York’s last 19 games overall.
Jets vs. Packers Prediction:
The Packers have gone 2-1 in their last 3 games with a point differential of 0. They only scored 14 points in their win against the Buccaneers in Week 3 and needed overtime to beat a mediocre Patriots team in Week 4. They then lost to the Giants in London last week, scoring a measly 2 points in the second half via an intentional safety. The Packers appear to have significant issues on both sides of the ball. The Jets on the other hand have won 3 out of their last 4 games and appear to be getting better every week. The Packers might eventually figure it out, but I can’t lay a full touchdown with a team that’s only scoring 19.4 points per game like the Packers. I’ll take the Jets and the points.
