New York Jets DFS Spin
Jets rookie running back Breece Hall is out for the season with a knee injury. This seemed to pave the way for backup running back Michael Carter to get the bulk of the work, but the Jets traded for Jacksonville running back James Robinson a few weeks ago. In the Jets’ last game two weeks ago against the Bills, Carter had 12 carries for 76 while Robinson had 13 carries for 48 yards. If you had to pick a running back I’d lean towards Michael Carter because he’s been there longer and has 25 receptions to Robinson’s 11.
If you’re looking for a cost-effective option at tight end, consider the Jets’ Tyler Conklin. In New York’s first game against New England, Conklin had his best game of the year, hauling in 6 passes for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. He may be in line for another big game if Jets’ QB Zach Wilson has limited time to throw and opts for multiple screens and short, quick passes to backs and tight ends.
New England Patriots DFS Spin
There are two injury situations to monitor for the New England Patriots: running back Damien Harris, and wide receiver Devante Parker. Harris missed last week’s game with an illness but is officially listed as probable for Sunday. Parker has missed the past two games with a knee injury and is listed as questionable for the Patriots’ clash with the Jets this weekend.
Regardless of the injury status of Damien Harris, New England running back Rhamondre Stevenson is sure to get a lot of work this weekend. Stevenson has recorded at least 11 carries and at least 2 receptions in each of the Patriots’ last 7 games. He posted 143 scrimmage yards against the Jets on October 30th (71 rushing yards, 72 receiving yards) and should be a nice volume DFS play this weekend.
Jets vs. Patriots Betting Trends
New York is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.
New York is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against teams with a winning record.
New York is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
New England is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the AFC East.
Jets vs. Patriots Prediction:
The New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles are the only two NFL teams remaining without a loss on the road. The Jets are 4-0 on the road this season. They’ve also won 5 out of their last 6 games with the lone loss coming against these New England Patriots. New England quarterback Mac Jones has struggled recently as he’s posted a touchdown pass-to-interception ratio of 2-5 in his last four games. He’s also taken 13 sacks in that same span. The Jets’ defense on the other hand ranks 4th in the NFL in opponent yards per play. I think the Jets are a live money line underdog at +140, but I think there’s a great deal of value in the spread as well. I’ll take the Jets and the points.
