Jets vs. Seahawks Week 14 Prediction

The Seahawks are massive home favorites versus the Jets on Sunday afternoon in Seattle but after they were stunned by the Giants last week, are Russell Wilson and Co. a safe play at that number? Kickoff for this non-conference matchup is set for 4:05 p.m. ET.

New York Jets DFS Spin

Sam Darnold completed 14-of-22 passes for 146 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Jets’ Week 13 loss to the Raiders. This was hilarious. The Jets battled for 59 minutes and 50 seconds but allowed a 46-yard touchdown to Henry Ruggs with just a couple of ticks left to lose, 31-28. Jets fans are likely celebrating the loss as they continue to root for the Tank for Trevor movement, but it’s certainly not the outcome Adam Gase and Darnold wanted. Darnold made some quality throws, but his turnovers ended up costing him a win. With all three starting receivers and both starting tackles healthy, Darnold needs to clean up his game to earn a starting job in 2021. That will likely come in a different city.

Seattle Seahawks DFS Spin

Russell Wilson completed 27-of-43 passes for 263 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Seattle’s Week 13 loss to the Giants. New York’s front-seven gave Wilson the day off from the kitchen, stuffing him with five sacks including Leonard Williams’ career-high 2.5 and five quarterback hits. Wilson’s interception can be attributed to Chris Carson, who bobbled a target into Darnay Holmes’ lap, but the former was nonetheless rattled and under constant duress throughout regulation. Wilson found Carson for a 28-yard touchdown over Jabrill Peppers in the fourth quarter, which helped extend the franchise’s 58-game streak with a touchdown, but that was ultimately the only offensive score for the Seahawks as the Giants batted down Wilson’s final Hail Mary. Seattle now sits behind the Rams atop the NFC West at 8-4 with two divisional games left to play in the last two weeks of the season. Wilson will still rank as a top-five option in Week 14 against the Jets.

Jets vs. Seahawks NFL Week 14 Prediction

This is a ton of points to lay with a team that just lost outright at home as a double-digit favorite but I’m doing it anyway. The favorite is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings in this series, while the home team has covered the spread in four of the last five series meetings as well. The Jets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games and are 4-12 against the number in their last 16 road games versus a team with a winning home record. On the other side, the Seahawks are 13-6-2 against the spread in their last 21 games when failing to cover in their previous contest and are 33-15-4 at the betting window in theri last 52 games coming off a loss.

NFL WEEK 14 BETTING PREDICTION: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS -15
