Kaepernick staying composed
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – The San Francisco 49ers are in real danger of missing the playoffs and most of the focus is on quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Fresh off a media session last week where Kaepernick barely spoke and an incident with Raiders’ linebacker Sio Moore at halftime during last Sunday’s 24-13 loss, Kaepernick appeared friendly with media reporters on Wednesday in preparation for this week’s game with the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25PM ET on FOX.
San Francisco has dropped two straight and is now 7-6 on the season, on the outside looking in for the playoffs in a crowded NFC Wild Card picture. Kaepernick has failed to complete 56 percent of his passes in five of his last six games and hasn’t rushed for more than 26 yards in any of them either. He has five interceptions to four touchdowns in those five games as well.
Oddsmakers think the 49ers are in way over their head this Sunday, as oddsmakers from Bovada.lv currently have Seattle as a 10.5-point favorite for the game with the 49ers. The over/under total has been set at 38 points.
San Francisco currently has the league’s toughest remaining schedule, as they head to Seattle and then host San Diego and Arizona to close the season, likely needing three wins to make the playoffs.
