Fitzgerald to blow up again?

Larry Fitzgerald has rejuvenated his career in 2015. Will he continue to add to his legacy by leading the Arizona Cardinals to a win in the NFC Championship?

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Carolina is favored at home, as the Panthers are getting odds of -3 points against the Cardinals. The over/under total has been set at 47.5 points. These two meet tonight at 6:40PM ET on FOX.

After a three-year stretch of going without a 1,000-yard season, Fitzgerald bounced back in a big way for the Cardinals (14-3, 9-8 ATS) this year. The 12-year NFL veteran had a career-high 109 receptions this season for 1,215 yards and 9 touchdowns. He added to the season in last week’s playoff win over the Packers by catching eight passes for 176 yards and also had the game-winning TD catch in OT.

The Cardinals are up against the Panthers (16-1, 12-5 ATS) in today’s NFC Championship and Fitzgerald faces a pass defense that is giving up 234.5 yards per game through the air. Oddsmakers expect another nice game from Fitzgerald today, as he has been given an over/under of 5.5 receptions with 72.5 receiving yards. The Panthers have given up 201 receptions to receivers during the 2015 season along with 2,479 yards. Fitzgerald has been a consistent part of the offense all season for Arizona, grabbing 6 receptions or more in 12 of 17 games. He also has 73 yards or more in 9 games. Fitzgerald hasn’t been targeted fewer than 5 times and he will certainly be a focal point for Carson Palmer, who has a lot of trust in his fellow veteran. Fitzgerald isn’t one to lose his cool either, so the trash talk of the Carolina defense and Josh Norman shouldn’t impact his performance.
