Lions’ Raiola suspended 1 game
DETROIT, MI (The Spread) – The Detroit Lions will be without its starting center in Sunday’s battle for the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers.
It was announced on Monday that Dominic Raiola will be suspended for one game without pay for his stomp on Chicago Bears defensive lineman Ego Ferguson during Sunday’s game. The stomp caused Ferguson to have to leave the game.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv the Packers are favored to win Sunday’s game, which is for the NFC North Division title and a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Green Bay is getting odds of -7.5 points against the Lions at home. The over/under for the game has been listed at 48 points.
Raiola is in his 14th season and he has played all 15 games for the Lions this year. That will likely cause some issues with blocking and the quarterback-center exchange for this Sunday’s game with Green Bay. Detroit is looking to win for the first time at Lambeau since 1991.
