Detroit is coming off a 16-14 win over the Vikings at home last week to get to 10-4 on the season. The Lions currently hold the No. 2 spot in the NFC and are the NFC North leaders. A win on Sunday secures them at least a Wild Card playoff spot. The Lions are 7-7 against the spread this season, but they are just 3-5 against the spread in their last 8 games.

Chicago is coming off a 31-15 loss to the Saints on Monday night. The Bears have now lost three straight to get to 5-9 on the year. Chicago’s last five losses have all been by at least 13 points with three of those losses coming at home. The Bears are 5-9 against the spread this season and just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games.

The oddsmakers like the Lions to punch their playoff ticket, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have given the Lions odds of -7 points at Chicago. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points (View Matchup). The Lions have won their last three against the Bears and covered the spread in five straight against Chicago.

These two met back on Thanksgiving with Detroit getting a 34-17 win at home over the Bears. The Lions dominated both sides of the ball, outgaining Chicago 474-269. Matthew Stafford threw for 390 yards and two touchdowns to lead Detroit while Chicago’s offense was held to just a total of 13 rushing yards on eight attempts. Jay Cutler had 280 passing yards, but also had two interceptions. Cutler has had seven games this season with at least two interceptions.
