Sanchez not threatened by Tebow
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Mark Sanchez says does not he feel threatened “at all” by the New York Jets’ trade for Tim Tebow, and welcomes the addition of the star backup quarterback.
Sanchez says Monday during a conference call that he’s “excited” about Tebow being able to “add a new wrinkle to our offense,” and calls it “a plus for us.”

The Jets have repeatedly said Sanchez is the No. 1 quarterback, while Tebow will serve as the backup and see plenty of playing time in various roles. Sanchez doesn’t think it will be a distraction to have the popular quarterback on the team, despite speculation that fans could call for Tebow as soon as he struggles.
Sanchez says the Jets didn’t consult him before making the trade, but was fine with that.
