Total on the move in MNF matchup
CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – The total for tonight’s Monday night matchup between the Saints and Bears is on the move as we approach the 8:30PM ET kickoff.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Saints are 3-point road favorites for tonight’s game with the Bears while the total is currently sitting at 53 points. While the side hasn’t seen much movement, the total has gone from 54 down to 53 at most books as we draw closer to kickoff.
Thus far, the under is 12-3 in Week 15, which included hitting 11 out of the 14 games on Sunday. Still, the over is 5-1 in the last six games between these two teams in Chicago and 5-0 in the Bears’ last five games in December. The over is also 6-1 in the Saints’ last seven games versus NFC opponents, 5-1 in their last six road games overall and 8-2 in their last 10 games overall.
Both of these teams are 5-8 on the year and both are also 5-8 against the spread. While the over has hit in 10 of the Saints’ 13 games, the over has hit in eight of the Bears’ 13 contests in 2014. Considering how bad the two defenses are of these teams, we wouldn’t be shocked if the over hit tonight despite the impressive run that the under is on in Week 15.
