Must Bet Super Bow LVI Player Props
As we all know, Super Bowl 56 is coming this Sunday and will feature the Bengals and Rams competing for NFL supremacy.
And while many will be debating the point spread and the total, we will delve into the vast betting menu of player proposition bets. Let’s try to isolate a few that are giving us excellent value as we look to cash in on our NFL picks this weekend!
How to Pick a Prop
The first thing any seasoned sports bettor worth his salt will do is script a mental narrative of how they believe the game will proceed. If you believe that the Bengals will win outright in a low-scoring affair then it would be a bit foolish to bet Rams’ quarterback, Matthew Stafford, throwing over 3 touchdowns, right?
You should also make sure to have multiple outs which means doing business with one, two, or more reputable online sportsbooks so that you can compare the lines and choose the best one available. Why lay -6 ½ when you might be able to find it at -6, or even lower?
Player props are offered at virtually all of the online sportsbooks so this rule would apply here as well. Getting the best number is key to long-term success in sports betting.
Speaking of success, the sharpshooting handicappers over at BMR will have a Super Bowl LVI Parlay so make sure to check that out!
Total Passing Yards – Matthew Stafford
Over 325.5 (+175)
Under 325.5 (-260)
Many believe Matthew Stafford is a bit of a mercurial quarterback. He has a big arm but tosses too many interceptions. We believe there is something to that but it revolves mainly around his chronic back issues. When the muscles tighten up, the passing mechanics change, which leads to errant throws and ultimately interceptions.
Stafford looks like he is in fine form entering this contest and has had two weeks to rest so he should be ready to rumble when the bell rings. Over his past two performances, Stafford has tossed for 366 yards against the Bucs and 337 against the 49ers. I don’t believe the Bengals’ 26th ranked passing defense will put enough heat on him to prohibit him from finding one of his many talented pass-catching weapons and will wind up with around 350 yards when the day is done. Let’s go over in this one and get paid the vig instead of paying it.
Free NFL Pick: Over 325.5 (+175) Total Passing Yards Stafford at Bovada
Who Will Record the Most Rushing Yards in the Game?
Joe Mixon -105
Cam Akers -125
Sony Michel +900
Samaje Perine (+5000)
Joe Burrow (+10,000)
Matthew Stafford (+10,000)
If the Bengals fall behind, they are likely to eschew the run and let Joe Burrow launch early and often. However, this looks to be a competitive game and the Cats have a talented runner, Joe Mixon, who doesn’t have to platoon like LA’s Sony Michel and Cam Akers. Laying the small price on Mixon to end with the most rushing yards of the six candidates appears to be the sharp move in this prop.

Total Kicking Points – Evan McPherson
Over 7.5 Points (-150)
Under 7.5 Points (+115)
They don’t call this rookie out of Florida, Money McPherson, for nothing. The kid has been nothing short of spectacular for the Bengals this season. And when the postseason arrived, so did McPherson as he has tallied 14, 13, and 13 points in his three playoff appearances thus far against the Raiders, Titans, and Chiefs, respectively.
Three field goals will do the trick or a pair of field goals and two extra points will get this prop over the finish line. The vig is a bit steep at -150 but the number is low and we will happily go over the posted total over at Bovada.
