NBA Predictions: Are the Hornets a good bet vs. Timberwolves? 11/15/16

Hornets vs. Timberwolves Pick

The Hornets are off to a good start this season but will they avoid a letdown tonight when they visit the Timberwolves at 8:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Hornets are now 2-point road favorites versus the Timberwolves while the over/under sits at 206 points. The total hasn’t moved off the original number posted by oddsmakers, but the spread climbed slightly from 1.5 up to 2.

HORNETS KEY TRENDS: The Hornets are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game and are 3-1-1 at the betting window in their last five games coming off a loss. They’re also 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game and are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games when playing on Tuesday.

TIMBERWOLVES KEY TRENDS: The Timberwolves have been a poor bet to cover at home, going just 17-35-1 against the spread in their last 53 games in Minnesota. They’re also 0-4 against the number in their last four games coming off a straight up win and are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games after covering in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: The Hornets have been a great play in this series, covering in four of their last five games against the Timberwolves. Minnesota has been inconsistent to start the season, alternating wins and losses over its last four games. The T-Wolves are just 16-39-1 against the spread in their last 56 games following a win of more than 10 points so even though they’re coming off an impressive win over the Lakers, look for them to struggle tonight.
