Eagles vs. Giants NFL Week 11 Odds
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – NFC East rivals clash on Sunday Night Football this week when the Giants host the struggling Eagles at 8:20PM ET.
PHILADELPHIA: Following their two-game winning streak to bring their record to 3-4, people thought the Eagles might be ready for a second-half surge. Instead, they’ve looked flat in two-straight losses, includes their 21-17 defeat to the Cardinals last Sunday as a 13.5-point favorite. Andy Reid’s squad looks completely hapless and is now 3-6 on the year and 3-6 against the spread. One more loss could put Philadelphia out of its misery, which is amazing when you consider how most people saw this team as a Super Bowl contender this year. After playing last Sunday with two broken ribs, Michael Vick has been ruled out for tonight, which means Vince Young will start at quarterback.
NEW YORK: The Giants were on a roll until they met their match in the form of the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners ended the Giants’ three-game winning streak by handing them a 27-20 loss in San Francisco. That defeat dropped New York’s record to 6-3 on the year and 4-4-1 against the spread. That said, the G-Men still hold a one-game lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East and could essentially put the nail in the Eagles’ coffin with a win this weekend. It’ll be interesting to see how Tom Coughlin’s team responds to its loss to the 49ers.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Giants as a 5.5-point favorite over the Eagles, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 45.5 points. Philadelphia comes into this week with a 3-6 record overall and is 2-2 on the road, while New York is 6-3 overall and 3-1 at home.
TRENDS: The Eagles are 4-0 against the spread in their last four trips to New York and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against the Giants overall. The road team is also 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings between these two teams and the underdog is 12-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings. The under is 11-4 in the last 15 games between the Eagles and Giants when the game is played in New York.
