Lions vs. Saints Sunday Night Odds
NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – Shorthanded and overmatched, the Lions will look to pull off the upset when they take on the Saints on Sunday Night Football.
DETROIT: As if all of their injuries in the secondary weren’t bad enough the Lions will be without defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh tonight after he was suspended for two games following his stomping incident on Thanksgiving Day. That’ll make things even tougher to rush Drew Brees, who could terrorize Detroit’s secondary if the front four doesn’t generate any pressure. The Lions are currently 7-4 on the year and 6-4-1 against the spread after they were beaten by Green Bay 27-15 in Week 12.
NEW ORLEANS: The Saints made it three in a row and four of their last five with a 49-24 win over the Giants on Monday Night Football. New Orleans hasn’t lost since its embarrassing 31-21 defeat at the hands of the Rams in Week 8, and is now 8-3 overall and 7-4 against the spread. Coming into Week 13, the Saints lead the Falcons by one-game in the NFC South so there’s no time for New Orleans to rest on its laurels.

TRENDS: The Saints are 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games as a home favorite. The Lions are 11-4-1 ATRS in their last 16 games overall and 10-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record. The over is 4-1-1 in Detroit’s last six games as an underdog and 9-4 in the Saints’ last 13 games in Week 13.
