Patriots continue win streak
The New England Patriots continued their win streak last Sunday, posting a 31-17 win over the Green Bay Packers for their sixth consecutive victory. New England is now 7-2 on the season 6-3 against the spread and 5-4 with the under. They have hit the under in two straight.
The Pats continue to put up numbers on offense, averaging 30 points and 397.3 yards per game. Tom Brady has thrown for 2,494 yards and 17 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. He was without his tight end in Rob Gronkowski last week due to ankle and back injuries. Gronk is currently questionable for this game as well. Brady utilizes James White a lot in the pass game. White has 61 catches for 531 yards and six touchdowns. The Pats should get rookie running back Sony Michel back this week. He has missed the last few games with a knee injury. Michel has 422 rushing yards and four scores in 2018.
Titans end skid
The Tennessee Titans stopped a three-game losing streak on Monday night with an impressive 28-14 win at Dallas. The Titans moved to 4-4 with the victory and they are 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
The Titans have been led this season by their defense, which is allowing just 17.6 points and 346.3 yards per game. They have just 20 sacks and have forced only nine turnovers, but just play well as a unit. Offensively, Tennessee has struggled to produce. The Titans average only 16.8 points and 308.3 yards per game this season. Marcus Mariota has thrown for 1,270 yards and five touchdowns with five interceptions. He has been sacked 23 times as well. Dion Lewis is the leading rusher with 339 yards and a touchdown while Corey Davis is the leading receiver with 36 catches for 451 yards and a score.
NFL Betting Trends
New England
The Patriots have hit the over in seven straight Week 10’s, but they are 6-2 with the under in their last eight road games.
Tennessee
The Titans have hit the under in five straight conference games and in four of their last five on grass.
Prediction:
The Titans should be somewhat game on defense this week. Tennessee has held some good offensive teams in check this season and I think they can hold up at home against the Pats, or at least enough for New England to not put up a crazy total. If Tennessee is going to compete, the Titans will need to keep the score low because the Titans just aren’t a team that can score consistently. They will likely struggle with the Pats defense this week as well. I like the under to hit as Tennessee keeps the game interesting on defense.
NFL Prediction: Patriots/Titans Under 46.5
