Saints vs. Falcons Total Prediction
NFC South rivals clash in Atlanta on Thanksgiving night when the Falcons host the Saints at 8:20 p.m. ET. These two teams cashed the under just three weeks ago in New Orleans but will Thursday night’s clash turn high-scoring?
Game Snapshot
309 New Orleans Saints (-7) at 310 Atlanta Falcons (+7); O/U 48.5
8:20 p.m. ET, Thursday, November 28
Mercedes-Benz, Atlanta, GA
According to our NFL Public Betting Chart page, the Saints are drawing 66% of the betting tickets ahead of tonight’s game.
New Orleans Saints Fantasy Spin
Saints CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) was listed as limited on the team’s estimated practice report Monday. The Saints didn’t actually practice Monday, but they’re required to submit an estimated injury report. Lattimore appears to have a real shot to suit up Thursday night against the Falcons. His presence would be bad news for Julio Jones (shoulder), though the Falcons’ top receiver can be treated as a fantasy WR1 regardless of the matchup.
Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Spin
Devonta Freeman (foot) was listed as “full” for Tuesday’s practice. It means that Freeman is ready to return after missing the past two games. Freeman is not having a good year, but fill-in Brian Hill was laughably bad in Freeman’s absence. It’s an upgrade for the Falcons’ offense but hardly a game-changer. Freeman has averaged more than 4.0 yards per carry just twice in nine games and will be squaring off with a stout Saints run D on Thursday. He’s a last-gasp RB2.
New Orleans
The over is 21-7 in the Saints’ last 28 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Atlanta
The under is 16-5 in the Falcons’ last 21 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
NFL Week 13 Prediction
Public bettors tend to look at this matchup and see over dollars but the under has been highly profitable when these two teams clash. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams in Atlanta and is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, including three weeks ago in New Orleans. The Falcons offensive line got abused by the Bucs last week in Atlanta and the Saints lost left tackle Terron Armstead. If both lines struggle, then the scoring will be down. In fact, I expect the Falcons to struggle offensively and for Matt Ryan to take another beating like he did a week ago.
