Will the Patriots cash as a massive home favorite today when they host the Jets at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are now 16.5-point home favorites versus the Jets while the over/under currently sits at 14.5 points. Both the side and the total moved off the original number posted by oddsmakers, as New England went from -14.5 to -16.5, and the over/under went from 44 down to 43.5.
NEW YORK KEY TRENDS: The Jets are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games coming off a double-digit loss at home and are 11-3-2 against the number in their last 16 games played in December. That said, they failed to cover in seven of their last 10 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game and are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four road games versus a team with a winning home record.
NEW ENGLAND KEY TRENDS: The Patriots have cashed in seven of their last seven conference games and are 5-1 against the number in their last six games in December. They’re also an impressive 14-3-2 against the spread in their last 19 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game and are 13-3-1 at the betting window in their last 17 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest. They’re an incredible 23-9-2 against the spread in their last 34 home games as well.

OUR PREDICTION: The Jets are 6-0-1 against the spread in their last seven games against the Patriots and are 3-0-1 against the number in their last four games in Foxboro as well. But I don’t care. And I don’t care that the Pats are laying 16.5 points either. Bryce Petty isn’t going to move the ball on a New England defense that is playing its best football of the year and the Jets seemingly gave up weeks ago on defense. Tom Brady struggled last Sunday in Denver but I expect a full bounce back for him and the Patriot offense today.
