NFC Title Prop Odds: Will Packers & Falcons go over team totals? 1/22/17

NFL Divisional Round Playoff Odds: Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons NFL Divisional Round Playoff Odds: Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons

NFC Championship Prop Picks

Will the Packers and Falcons both go over their individual team totals in today’s 3:05PM ET NFC Championship Game?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Falcons are currently 5.5-point home favorites versus the Packers while the over/under for today’s NFC title game sits at 59.5. Both the side and the total have both moved off the original numbers, as Atlanta opened as a 5-point favorite before the line climbed to 5.5, and the total hit the board at 59.5 before jumping to 60.5.

Bet the NFC Championship Game

The Packers’ team total for the NFC Championship Game is sitting at over/under 27.5, while the Falcons’ team total is o/u 33. Will both the Pack and Falcons go over their team totals?

The Packers averaged 27.0 points per game this season and allowed 24.2 points per game defensively. On the other side, the Falcons are averaging 33.8 points per game and allowing 25.4, so it’s easy to see why oddsmakers believe this will be one of the high-scoring games in NFC title game history.

OUR PREDICTION: The Packers could be without defensive back Quinten Rollins, who is questionable with a concussion, while Morgan Burnett is also questionable after suffering a quad injury in the team’s win over the Cowboys on Sunday. The Falcons hung 36 points on Seattle’s defense last week and even without having to face Earl Thomas, that’s still a hell of a feat. Seeing as how they’re averaging nearly 34 points per game and have eclipsed or matched the 33-point mark in six consecutive games, Matt Ryan and company should be able to go ‘over’ their total today.

On the other side, Aaron Rodgers continues to play like a man on fire and helped put up 32 points on Atlanta earlier this season in the Georgia Dome. The Packers are also banged-up on offense but they were missing several key pieces in that 33-32 loss to the Falcons back in October too, and they still wound up putting up big points. Would anyone be surprised if Rodgers threw another four touchdown passes today? I wouldn’t.
