According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Houston is favored at home, as the Texans are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Titans. The over/under total for the game has yet to be set. Houston has won and covered the spread in five of its last six meetings with the Titans.

Houston is 2-5 on the season, 2-5 against the spread and 5-1-1 with the over. The Texans are coming off a 44-26 loss at Miami last week and the team lost Arian Foster for the season in the process, as he suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon. Houston is averaging 22 points and 383.6 yards per game on offense while giving up 28.4 points and 370.9 yards per game on defense. Brian Hoyer has led the offense with 1,346 passing yards and 11 touchdowns while DeAndre Hopkins has caught 58 passes for 776 yards and five touchdowns. The defense is led by J.J. Watt, who has 35 tackles and six sacks.

Tennessee is 1-5 on the season, 3-3 against the spread and 4-2 with the over. The Titans are coming off a 10-7 loss to the Falcons. They have now lost five straight since winning the season opener. Tennessee is putting up just 19.8 points and 326.8 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 23.2 points and 324.3 yards per game. Marcus Mariota has thrown for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns this year, but he has a knee injury that has him questionable to play. He missed last week’s game and Zach Mettenberger (27 of 43, 250 yards) will play if Mariota can’t. The Tennessee defense is led by Derrick Morgan, who has 20 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
