Chiefs vs. Chargers Odds
The Kansas City Chiefs look to continue their winning streak today when they hit the road to face the San Diego Chargers at 4:05PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Kansas City is favored on the road, as the Chiefs are getting odds of -3 points against the Chargers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44.5 points. Kansas City won both meetings with the Chargers last year and the Chiefs have covered the spread in three straight against San Diego.
Kansas City is 4-5 on the season, 4-5 against the spread and 5-3-1 with the over. The Chiefs are coming off a 29-13 win at Denver last week for their third straight win. KC is averaging 24.9 points and 340.7 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 21.7 points and 341.4 yards per contest. Alex Smith has thrown for 2,173 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Charcandrick West has run for 357 yards and three scores in place of Jamaal Charles. Jeremy Maclin is the leading receiver with 45 catches for 583 yards and two scores. The KC defense is led by Justin Houston, who has 29 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
San Diego is 2-7 on the season, 3-6 against the spread and 5-4 with the under. The Chargers are coming off a 22-19 loss to the Bears last week for their fifth straight loss. San Diego is averaging 23.3 points and 413.9 yards per game on offense, but the defense is allowing 27.7 points and 372.1 yards per game. Philip Rivers has thrown for 3,033 yards and 19 touchdowns this season to lead the offense while Danny Woodhead is the leading healthy receiver with 45 catches for 521 yards and three scores. The SD defense is led by Melvin Ingram, who has 35 tackles and four sacks.
