Will the Packers-Lions spread drop further?
A pivotal NFC North matchup will ensue tonight when the Lions host the Packers at 8:25PM ET and there has been plenty of line movement over the past few days.
After opening as a 5.5-point road favorite, Green Bay is now only a 3-point favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The total has also dropped from the opening number, going from 47.5 down to 46.5 points.
Based on public betting money, it’s hard to see this line dropping past a field goal. Our NFL Public Betting page shows that 75% of public bettors are currently taking the Packers to cover the spread. The reverse line movement indicates that at least some sharp money is on Green Bay, but sports books could expose themselves if the spread drops to under the key number of 3.
The favorite is 6-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams although when the Packers and Lions met at Lambeau Field a couple of weeks ago, Detroit won outright as a 10-point underdog. The under is also 5-1 in the last six meetings in Detroit and 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall.
