Browns vs. Rams Free Pick
The Cleveland Browns have covered the spread three straight weeks but could they have trouble with the St. Louis Rams today at 1:00PM ET?
The Odds
The Rams opened as 4.5-point home favorites but the line has been bet up to 6.5 according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The over/under also saw some movement, although not as much as the side. After the number opened at 42.5, the total dropped to 42.
The Records
St. Louis is 2-3 on the year and 2-3 against the spread, while Cleveland is 2-4 straight up but a profitable 4-2 at the betting window. While the Rams are 1-1 against the number at home this year, the Broncos are 2-1 against the spread on the road.
The Pick
This matchup is perfect for the Rams when you look at strengths and weaknesses. St. Louis’ passing game is really struggling but Todd Gurley has given Frank Cignetti’s offense a major lift. The Browns statistically have the worst run defense in the NFL and are allowing 149.8 rushing yards per game. If all goes right for the Rams, they won’t even need to put the ball in the air today. On the other side of the ball, Josh McCown has been better than expected for the Browns but he’ll face a stiff test this week. The Rams have an outstanding pass rush, led by defensive end Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald. This game might be close early, but once St. Louis gets the lead it can turn its pass rush loose in the second half and pull away late.
