NFL Championship Sunday Betting Odds: Eagles, Chiefs Open as Favorites

Way-Too-Early Betting Favorites to Win Each AFC Division in 2025 Way-Too-Early Betting Favorites to Win Each AFC Division in 2025

NFL Championship Sunday betting odds are out and unsurprisingly, the two home teams have opened as the favorites. That said, how much line movement have we seen for either matchup this upcoming Sunday?

NFL Championship Sunday Betting Odds: Eagles Favored over Commanders

Following their 28-22 victory over the Rams in the Divisional round, the Eagles opened as 4.5-point favorites versus the Commanders in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. That said, the line moved a full point to 5.5. While a full point is a significant move, it’ll be interesting to see if the spread jumps another half-point to the key number of 6.

There has also been movement on the total for the NFC title game. After opening at 48.5, the over/under is now 47.5 at the majority of books. That said, there are still 48’s available for those that like the under.

The Eagles are 6-4 in their last 10 games against the Commanders, who split with their NFC East rivals during the regular season. However, Washington is 6-2-2 against the spread against Philadelphia over that same span. The Eagles did beat the Commanders 26-18 as a 4.5-point favorite at Lincoln Financial Field in November. The Commanders got their revenge in December, beating the Eagles 36-33 at FedExField. Washington was a 4-point home dog in that matchup.

NFL Championship Sunday Betting Odds: Chiefs slight favorites vs. Bills

Unlike in the NFC title game, the AFC Championship Game has not moved. The Chiefs opened as 1.5-point home favorites over the Bills and that’s where the number sits at most books. These two teams met in November and the Bills handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Buffalo’s 30-21 victory at Highmark Stadium covered the 2.5-point spread. The over (47.5) also cashed in that matchup.

In the last 10 meetings between these teams, the two have split 5-5 both straight up and against the spread. If we narrow the scope more, the Bills have won three out of the previous four meetings both straight up and against the spread. The Chiefs are 3-7 against the spread over their last 10 games, whereas the Bills have covered in seven out of their last 10.

As for the total, there has been some movement. After hitting the board at 49, the over/under is down to 48.5 at the majority of sportsbooks. While the over is 6-2-2 in the Bills’ last 10 games overall, the under is 7-3 in the Chiefs’ last 10 contests.

NFL Championship Sunday Betting Odds: Bettors Backing Both Underdogs

It’s early, but public bettors are favoring the underdogs in both matchups. Nearly 70% of betting tickets are currently on the Commanders +5.5. The ticket count is even higher in the AFC title game, as 75% are currently on the Bills +1.5.

That said, this information is subject to change. Our NFL Public Betting Chart page refreshes constantly, so be sure to check periodically if you’re interested in which side public bettors are on ahead of Championship Sunday.
