The second round of the NFL playoffs conclude tonight when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:20PM ET on NBC.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Chiefs are the slight favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Steelers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 44.5 points. The opening odds for the game also had KC as a 1.5-point favorite. The spread climbed to 2.5 points briefly during the week before falling back to 2.5 points. The public wagers for this game are going with the Steelers, as Pittsburgh is getting 55 percent of the bets as the underdog. The two met in Pittsburgh back on Oct. 2, with the Steelers getting a 43-14 win.
The Steelers are the hottest team in the NFL, winning eight straight games coming into today. Pittsburgh is now 12-5 on the year thanks to their 30-12 win over the Dolphins in last week’s opening round. Pittsburgh is 6-1-1 against the spread in this win streak and 10-6-1 against the spread overall. The Steelers have one of the most feared offenses in the NFL, averaging 25 points per game this season. Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for 3,819 yards and 29 touchdowns during the season while Antonio Brown caught 106 passes for 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns. Le’Veon Bell added 1,268 rushing yards with seven touchdowns while catching 75 passes for 616 yards. Defensively, Pittsburgh has given up 24.3 points and 343 yards per game. They have been pretty good against the pass, allowing just 233.8 yards per game. Pittsburgh had 38 sacks and forced 23 turnovers during the season as well.

The Chiefs were pretty hot coming into the playoffs as well, winning five of their last six to claim the AFC West and earn the second seed in the AFC playoffs. The Chiefs went 12-4 on the season and 9-7 against the spread. KC has been led by a stingy defense that is giving up just 19.4 points per game. The Chiefs were creating a lot of turnovers in 2016, forcing a total of 33. Marcus Peters had six interceptions and had three fumble recoveries. Offensively, KC has been its usual managing self. The Chiefs are averaging 24.3 points and 343 yards per game. Alex Smith threw for 3,502 yards with 15 touchdowns and just eight interceptions while Spencer Ware ran for 921 yards. In recent weeks, Tyreek Hill has emerged as a big game-breaker. He has 12 total touchdowns this season, including three returns for a score.
