View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Carolina is favored to win today’s playoff game, as the Panthers are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Seahawks. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 44 points. These two meet today at 1:05PM ET on FOX.

The Panthers (15-1, 11-5 ATS) earned the top seed in the NFL playoffs thanks to the play of Newton, who will likely win the MVP honor. Newton threw for 3,837 yards and 35 touchdowns this season while rushing for 636 yards and 10 more scores. Newton also did this without a lot of great talent at the skill positions. Carolina didn’t have a 1,000-yard rusher and its leading receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, suffered a season-ending knee injury before the season started.

Today Newton is up against the Seahawks (11-6, 8-8-1 ATS), who have the league’s top-ranked defense, allowing just 291.8 yards per game. Oddsmakers still expect good things from Cam, as he has been given an over/under of 243.5 passing yards and 1.5 passing touchdowns. When Newton faces the Seahawks in Seattle on Oct. 18, he threw for 269 yards and a touchdown to lead Carolina to a 27-23 victory. Newton has thrown for at least 244 yards in nine games this season and he also has multiple TD passes in 10 games. The Seahawks haven’t given up multiple TD passes in seven straight games and they have only allowed it in three of 17 games this year.
