2016 Hall of Fame Game Free Pick

Will it be a low-scoring game tonight when the Packers take on the Colts in the NFL Hall of Fame Game at 8:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Colts are now 2.5-point favorites over the Packers after the line opened as a pick’em. The total has also moved, opening at 36.5 and dropping to 34 points, which is where it currently sits.

Bet the 2016 Hall of Fame Game

The Packers will be down to their third-string quarterback tonight. Aaron Rodgers is expected to sit out as the team rests him for a meaningless preseason game, but backup Brett Hundley is also doubtful with an ankle aliment. That means Joe Callahan will make the start for Green Bay, with rookie Marquise Williams drawing some snaps as well.

NFL fans won’t see Andrew Luck either. The 26-year-old will rest after missing significant time a year ago due to multiple injuries. The former Packer Scott Tolzien will likely start, while former Miami product Stephen Morris will likely see snaps late in the game.

OUR PICK: Last year the Vikings beat the Steelers 14-3 in the Hall of Fame Game when the total was set at 35. The year before, the Giants beat the Bills 17-13 when the over/under was 36.5. Three years ago when the Dolphins lost to the Cowboys 24-20, the over cashed when the total was sitting at 33. But the smart money is still on the under tonight with both teams just hoping to get through the game without suffering any big injuries. With no Rodgers, Luck or even Hundley, the scoring should be minimal.
