Bet on Panthers vs. Redskins

Washington snapped a two-game losing streak last week with a 27-22 win at Philadelphia. The Redskins are now 7-5-1 on the season and very much in the playoff mix. Washington is 9-4 against the spread this season and 11-2 with the over. They have covered in five of their last six while hitting the over in six straight games. Washington has had a great offense this season, averaging 25.4 points and 422.8 yards per game. Kirk Cousins could throw for 5,000 yards this year. He has 4,045 yards coming into tonight with 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He has spread the ball out well this year, as three different receivers have 60 catches or more and three have over 700 yards. Defensively, Washington has struggled somewhat. The Skins are giving up 24.4 points and 388.2 yards per game. The unit does have 34 sacks, including 11 from Ryan Kerrigan, but he is questionable for this game with a knee injury. One defender that will be ready for this game is Josh Norman. He was let go by Carolina in the offseason despite being a top-level corner. He has 50 tackles and one INT this year.

Carolina is coming off a 28-16 win over San Diego last week to move to 5-8 on the season. However, the Panthers are out of the playoff mix. Carolina is 4-8-1 against the spread this year and just 7-6 with the over. They have hit the under in four of their last six games. The Carolina defense has been pretty disappointing this year, not building off their dominant performance of a year ago. They are giving up 25.9 points and 379.9 yards per game this season, including 289.8 passing yards per contest, as the loss of Norman has had an impact. Carolina is hoping Luke Kuechly may return tonight after being in concussion protocol, but it’s still uncertain if he will suit up tonight. Offensively, Carolina is putting up 23.9 points and 357.4 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 2,774 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 317 yards and five scores. Greg Olsen has been his top receiver, catching 65 passes for 907 yards. Kelvin Benjamin is next with 51 catches for 765 yards, but he is questionable to play tonight with a back injury.
