Randy Moss makes his second Minnesota debut and Brett Favre returns to his old stomping grounds on Monday night as the Vikings take on the Jets on Monday Night Football.

The spread for this game hasn’t changed much. It opened at -4.5 for the Jets and was at -4 for a while before returning to -4.5. The over/under started at 37 and has slowly climbed up all week. The total was as high as 39 at one point but is now at 38.5.
After losing to Baltimore 10-9 in the season opener, the Jets have rattled off three straight wins, including victories over divisional opponents New England and Miami. Minnesota started the season 0-2 with losses by five points or loss to New Orleans and Miami. The Vikings then defeated Detroit 24-10 prior to the bye week. During the last week, Minnesota traded for receiver Randy Moss, who makes his second stint with the Vikings in his career but is paired with Favre for the first time. The Vikings are struggling on offense, posting just 14.3 points per game despite averaging 328.3 yards per contest Favre has thrown for just 597 yards and two touchdowns with six interceptions this season. Adrian Peterson has been the work horse, as he has rushed for 392 yards and three touchdowns. Through three games, the Vikings are holding opponents to 12.7 points and 276.3 yards per game on defense. Chad Greenway has 29 tackles to lead the defense.
Trends favor New York in this game as the Jets are 5-1 against the spread in their last six as a favorite of 3.5-to-10 points. The Jets are also 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. Minnesota is just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
The Vikings continue to play without receiver Sidney Rice, who has a long-term hip injury that is part of t reason the Vikings traded for Moss. Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe is expected to play on Monday despite a hamstring injury. The Jets are expecting cornerback Darrelle Revis to play despite missing the past few weeks with a hamstring injury.
