KANSAS CITY: The Chiefs have now lost five straight and have failed to cover in three straight after losing 31-13 as a 7.5-point road underdog last Thursday night in San Diego. Matt Cassel threw for just 181 yards with one interception in the loss, while Jamaal Charles was held to 39 yards on 12 carries. Kansas City has only one once this season, which came in a 27-24 shocker over the Saints in New Orleans. The Chiefs are now 2-6 against the spread and haven’t covered the number since a 9-6 loss to the Ravens in Week 5.
PITTSBURGH: The Steelers have now won three straight games and have also covered in their last three contests. Their latest win came in a 24-20 victory over the Giants last Sunday in New York. Ben Roethlisberger completed 21-of-30 passes for 216 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while Isaac Redman rushed 26 times for 147 yards with one score. Mike Wallace led the team in receiving with three catches for 66 yards and one touchdown, while Emmanuel Sanders also caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Steelers are 12.5-point favorites over the Chiefs, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 40. Kansas City is 1-7 overall and 1-3 on the road, while Pittsburgh is 5-3 overall and 3-0 at home.
TRENDS: The home team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams, while the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
