Jets vs. Patriots Odds
The New England Patriots look to continue their perfect season on Sunday when they host the New York Jets at 1PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, New England is the clear favorite at home, as the Patriots are getting odds of -8 points against the Jets. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48 points. The Patriots have won seven of their last eight against the Jets, but the Jets have covered the spread in four straight against the Patriots.
The Patriots are 5-0 on the season, 3-2 against the spread and 3-2 with the over. New England is coming off a 34-27 win over the Colts last Sunday night. The Patriots are rolling on offense, leading the league in points at 36.6 per game and ranking second in yards at 422.4 per contest. The defense is allowing 20.6 points and 355.8 yards per contest. Tom Brady has thrown for 1,699 yards with 14 touchdowns and one interceptions this year. Julian Edelman is the leading receiver with 40 receptions for 449 yards and four touchdowns while Jamie Collins is leading the defense with 37 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
The Jets are 4-1 on the season, 4-1 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. New York is coming off a 34-20 win over the Redskins last week. The Jets lead the NFL defensively in points allowed (15 ppg) and yards allowed (269.2 ypg). The offense isn’t too bad either, rankings seventh in scoring (25.8 ppg) and eighth in yards (379.8 ypg). Chris Ivory has rushed for 460 yards and four scores this year while Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown for 1,177 yards and nine touchdowns. The defense is led by Darrelle Revis, who has 12 tackles and three interceptions.
