Cowboys vs. Bucs Odds
The Dallas Cowboys look to put an end to their long losing streak on Sunday when they hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Tampa Bay is the slight favorite at home, as the Bucs are getting odds of -2 points against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 43 points. Dallas has won five straight over Tampa Bay, covering the spread in four of those five victories. These two have hit the under in eight of their last 10 meetings.
Dallas is 2-6 on the season, 2-6 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total. The Cowboys are coming off a 33-27 OT loss to the Eagles at home last week for their sixth straight loss. Dallas got Dez Bryant back last week, but it wasn’t enough to get a victory. The Cowboys are averaging 20 points and 354 yards per game on offense this season while the defense is allowing 25.5 points and 352.2 yards per contest. Matt Cassel has thrown for 623 yards and four touchdowns in his three starts, but he also has four interceptions. Darren McFadden has emerged as the leading rusher with 462 yards and two scores. The Dallas defense is led by Anthony Hitchens, who has 36 tackles and two sacks.
Tampa Bay is 3-5 on the season, 4-4 against the spread and 5-3 with the over. The Bucs are coming off a 32-18 loss against the Giants at home last week. Tampa Bay is averaging 22.6 points and 357.2 yards per contest on offense while the defense is giving up 28.9 points and 349 yards per contest. Jameis Winston has thrown for 1,897 yards and 10 touchdowns in his rookie year while Doug Martin has run for a team-high 643 yards and three scores. Mike Evans has added 32 receptions for 538 yards and a touchdown. Gerald McCoy is leading the defense with 18 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
