NFL Playoff Odds: Titans vs. Patriots Point Spread Holding Steady 1/13/18

Titans vs. Patriots Line Holds Steady

The point spread and the over/under for Saturday night’s Divisional Round playoff matchup between the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots is holding steady.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Patriots are currently 13.5-point favorites to knock off the Titans at 8:15 p.m. ET tonight. Tennessee opened as a 13.5-point underdog and while some books dropped the line to 13 briefly, Vegas oddsmakers have resisted a move up to 14.

As for the total, the number hit the board at 47 but was bet up a full point to 48 within 24 hours of the opening numbers being posted. Much like the point spread, oddsmakers have been hesitant to move the line up even a half-point.

Bet NFL Divisional Round Games

As of early Saturday afternoon, 70% of betting tickets are on the Patriots to cover the spread. The money is also on New England (63%) so it’s a little surprising that oddsmakers have not moved the line from 13.5 up to 14. Perhaps bookmakers are concerned that if they do that, sharp players will hammer the underdog at that key number.

The Titans are winless at the betting window at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games against the Patriots. Tennessee has also failed to cover the number in four of its last five games at New England. The favorite is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two tams while the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in New England.
