NFL Playoffs: Texans vs. Patriots Betting Odds Line Movement Report 1/14/17

Texans vs. Patriots Line Movement

The biggest spread of the four NFL Divisional round playoff games is in Foxboro. What’s the current line between the Texans and Patriots?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are 15-point home favorites versus the Texans after the line opened as high as 16 at some online sports books. As for the total, the number hit the board at 45 but has been bet down a half-point to 44.5.

Some online sports books opened the Patriots at -16 but the line didn’t get higher than that at the majority of books. The spread did hover around 15.5 earlier in the week but settled into 15 over the past couple of days.

In Vegas, however, it has been a different story. The line also opened at Patriots -16 at the majority of books and that’s where the line currently sits at Westgate Superbook and William Hill. At Wynn LV, the Patriots are -15.5 and at the MGM Mirage, the Texans are a whopping 17-point road underdog for tonight’s game.

As for the total, the over has cashed in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams. The over is also 4-0 in the Patriots’ last four home playoff games and is 4-1 in their last five playoff games overall. The under, however, is 5-2 in the Texans’ last seven games overall and is 5-2 in their last seven games played in January.
