Ravens vs. Browns Prediction
Are the Cleveland Browns a good bet to cover as an underdog on Sunday when they host the Baltimore Ravens at 1:00 p.m. ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: Baltimore. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Ravens are 7.5-point favorites to knock off the Browns, who opened as 9-point home underdogs. As for the total, the number hit the board at 40 but is now up to 41.
Who the Public Likes: As of Sunday morning, over 60% of the tickets are on the Ravens to cover the spread and 59% of the money is also on Baltimore.
Who the Trends Like: Baltimore. The Ravens are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus the Browns and are 7-1-1 against the number in their last nine games in Cleveland. The road team is also 11-4-1 at the betting window in the last 16 meetings between these two teams while the over has cashed in all four of the last four meetings in Cleveland.
Who We Like: Cleveland. Baltimore will be without top cornerback Jimmy Smith for the rest of the season and often plays better at home than it does on the road. Cleveland, meanwhile, isn’t without talent. The Browns held the Chargers to 19 points on the road two weeks ago and since Josh Gordon returned from his suspension, DeShone Kizer has looked component. The Ravens have been out-gained in each of their last four games so I don’t feel comfortable laying a full touchdown on Baltimore to cover the spread. Plus, if you shop around you can get this number with the hook so I feel confident in taking the home dog despite the Browns starting another season off 0-13 straight up.
