Bucs vs. Falcons Prediction

Will Sunday’s NFC South matchup between the Tampa Bay Bucs and Atlanta Falcons be high-scoring for bettors? Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET in Atlanta.

Game Info

Matchup: Bucs (4-6) at Falcons (6-4)

TV: FOX, 1:00 p.m. ET

Line: Falcons -10

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under currently sits at 48.5 points after hitting the board at 49. As for the point spread, the Falcons opened as a 8.5-point home favorite but the line has now climbed to 10 at the majority of online sports books.

Bet NFL Week 12 Games

PUBLIC BETTING: As of this writing, the Falcons are receiving 55% of the tickets to cover as a double-digit home favorite.

KEY TRENDS: The road team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams and the Bucs have covered in 12 of their last 17 trips to Atlanta. That said, the favorite is 9-3-1 at the betting window in the last 13 meetings.

OUR PREDICTION: The over has cashed in five of the last seven meetings in Atlanta. In the Falcons’ last 15 home games, the over is also 12-3 and is 15-5-1 in their last 21 conference games. The over is also 9-1-1 in the Falcons’ last 11 games versus an opponent with a losing record, is 5-1-1 in their last seven divisional games, and is 9-2-1 in their last 12 games coming off a win.

Atlanta re-discovered its swagger in Seattle and while its offense might not be firing on all cylinders quite yet, the Falcons are getting close. Their defense also played a lot of snaps against the Seahawks and had one fewer day of rest. I don’t like Atlanta’s defense in this spot after playing such a physical game in Seattle and thus, believe Tampa Bay will score plenty in the dome on Sunday.

NFL WEEK 12 OVER/UNDER PREDICTION: BUCS/FALCONS OVER 48.5
