Vikings Season Win Total Prediction
How many games will the Minnesota Vikings win in 2017? Let’s break down their odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Vikings’ over/under for wins in 2017 has been set at 8.5. The team also has odds of 45/1 to win the Super Bowl, 18/1 to win the NFC Conference Championship, and 19/5 to win the NFC North Division this upcoming season.

The Vikings shelled out a lot of money to improve their running game in 2017. They inked former Lions offensive tackle Riley Reiff to a five-year, $58.75 million contract and then handed Mike Remmers five years and $30 million. They signed running back Latavius Murray to a three-year, $15 million deal, and re-signed receiver Adam Thielen as well. Among their free agent depatures were Matt Kalil (Panthers), Cordarrelle Patterson (Raiders), Adrian Peterson (Saints) and Captain Munnerlyn (Panthers).
The Vikings also added a slew of players in the draft. They traded their first-round pick to the Eagles in the Sam Bradford trade but in the second round they gave Bradford a new wepon in running back Dalvin Cook. They also took center Pat Elflein in the third and had back-to-back selections in the fourth round, where they took defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson and linebacker Ben Gedeon.

Our Prediction: I love the over 8.5 for the Vikings’ win total. They have a considerably easier schedule than they had a year ago and their defense remains excellent under coach Mike Zimmer. If their offensive line can make significant improvements in front of Bradford, their offense shouldn’t be a liability. This might not be an 11-win team, but I like the Vikings to win at least nine games this upcoming season.
