The Ravens opened the season with an impressive 20-0 win over the Bengals in Cincinnati last week. They went well under the 41.5-point total in the win. Baltimore held the Bengals to just 221 total yards and 77 rushing yards. They also forced five turnovers and had five sacks in the process. On offense. Baltimore didn’t light the world on fire, but it was efficient enough. Joe Flacco was 9-of-17 passing with 121 yards and a touchdown. The team ran for 157 yards, but on 42 carries. Danny Woodhead suffered a hamstring injury in the loss and will be out indefinitely. Terrance West and Javorius Allen combined for 151 of the rushing yards on 40 carries.
Cleveland started the year with a hard-fought showing against the Steelers at home, but still lost 21-18. The Browns went under the 47-point total. The Browns held Pittsburgh to just 290 yards in the loss, but the Cleveland offense produced just 237 total yards. DeShone Kizer had a respectable rookie debut, throwing for 222 yards with one touchdown and one interceptions on 20-of-30 passing. He also rushed for a touchdown. The run game was pretty non-existent, as the Browns had just 57 yards on 25 carries. The defense continues to be without No. 1 pick Myles Garrett, who is recovering from an ankle injury.
I am not sure the total can be low enough for this game. The Ravens are still a dominant defense that should handle this Cleveland offense with ease. Baltimore will stop the run and put the game in Kizer’s hands. It will be tough for him to beat the Ravens with his arm. Cleveland should remain competitive on defense against this Baltimore offense. Flacco still doesn’t seem 100 percent and the Baltimore run game is working in small doses.
