Cowboys vs. Giants Total Pick

Can bettors expect a low-scoring game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants this Sunday when the NFC East rivals meet at 1:00 p.m. ET?

Line: Cowboys -3.5

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under currently sits at 41.5 points after hitting the board at 41. The Giants, meanwhile, are 3.5-point home underdogs versus the visiting Cowboys, who opened as a 6-point favorite.

Bet NFL Week 14 Games

PUBLIC BETTING: As of this writing, 66% of the betting tickets are on the Cowboys but 60% of the money is on the Giants. That’s an indication that public bettors and sharp players are on opposite sides in this matchup, with public bettors siding with Dallas and wiseguys on New York.

INJURY REPORT: The Cowboys could be getting a key piece back on defense as linebacker Sean Lee is probable to return from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for weeks. Running back Ezekiel Elliott still remains out due to a suspension, while La’el Collins (back) and pass-rusher David Irving (concussion) are questionable.

For the Giants, Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Jason Pierre-Paul (finger) are both probable, while guard Justin Pugh (back) is questionable.

OUR PREDICTION: With Lee back in the mix for the Cowboys, their defense is back to being fortified (at least as fortified as Dallas’ defense can be). The under is 16-6 in the Cowboys’ last 22 road games, is 7-1 in their last eight games in December and is 11-5 in their last 16 games when facing an opponent with a losing record.

On the other side, the Giants have struggled to score week in and week out. Eli Manning is returning to the starting lineup after Ben McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese was fired earlier this week but that doesn’t mean New York suddenly start moving the ball. The under is 7-2 in the Giants’ last nine home games and has cashed in five of their last seven games overall.
