New York is 0-2 to start the season, failing to cover in either game. The Jets are struggling on both sides of the ball right now as they are allowing 33 points and 412 yards per game on defense, while posting just 16 points and 258.5 yards per game on offense. Josh McCown has thrown for 353 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions to lead the offense while Jermaine Kearse has caught 11 passes for 123 yards. New York hasn’t had much of a run presence, averaging only 82 yards per game on the ground.

Miami opened the season last weekend with a 19-17 win on the road against the Chargers. The Dolphins were a 3.5-point underdog coming into the contest. Miami was able to ride four field goals from Cody Parkey to get the win, including a 54-yard field goal with 1:05 left to play. The Dolphins were outgained in the loss, 367-336. Miami held the Chargers to just 44 rushing yards, but allowed 323 passing yards. On offense, Jay Ajayi rushed for 122 yards on 28 carries while Jay Cutler had 230 passing yards with a touchdown.

Bet on Dolphins vs. Jets

There’s just not much to like about the Jets. They can’t move the ball and their defense isn’t good enough to overcome their offense. New York might have some success at times in this game, as Miami’s defense isn’t looking like a great unit either, but the Jets won’t be able to keep pace with the Dolphins. Miami should be able to put up over 400 yards and a lot of points to cover on the road.
