NFL Predictions: Will 49ers beat Titans, win third straight? 12/17/17

Titans vs. 49ers Prediction

Will the San Francisco 49ers win their third straight game when they take on the Tennessee Titans at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday?

WHO ODDSMAKERS LIKE: San Francisco. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 49ers are 1-point home favorites versus the Titans after the game opened as a pick’em earlier this week. As for the total, the number currently sits at 45 points after hitting the board at 44.5.

WHO PUBLIC BETTORS LIKE: As of this writing, 60% of betting tickets are on the 49ers and 55% of the money is also on San Francisco.

WHO THE TRENDS LIKE: The over. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams. The Titans are 19-43-4 against the spread in their last 66 games overall, are 7-20 against the number in their last 27 road games and are 3-13-1 at the betting window in their last 17 road games versus a team with a losing home record.

On the other side, the 49ers are 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 home games and have failed to cover in seven of their last 10 games coming off a win.

WHO WE LIKE: San Francisco. Marcus Mariota has regressed this year and that was before he got banged-up again in last week’s loss to Arizona. Tennessee’s running game is overrated and if Mariota can’t move, he’s not good enough to beat opponents inside the pocket. The only thing that Tennessee has going for it right now is that its still in the playoff hunt. But I wouldn’t be shocked if the Titans slipped completely out of the playoff hunt.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Garoppolo has lit a fire under the Niners’ ass. He’s a gamer and this San Francisco team finally has something to play for in what has otherwise been a bad season. There’s some hope and I like them to win again today.
